First time they met
It was a perfect day in February. Their buddy, Sam, planned a singles get-away on Valentine's Day. Margaret and Josh happingly trekked to Sam's property in the woods of Tylertown, MS that weekend. The night was full of worship music, campfire-cooked meals, and long conversations between the two of them. Interest grew over the duration of the get-away. As everyone was packing up, Josh knew he didn't want to leave without an opportunity to see her again. He mustered up what strength he could and asked, "Madison, would yo-" ... "Madison!?", Margaret exclaimed, "My name's not Madison." Immediately he thought all hope at seeing Margaret again was lost, but she showed grace. They went on their first date that same day.
Three months in
Three months is all it took for Josh to ask for Margaret's hand in marriage. They both stated that they knew on their first date that this was the person they desired to marry. Maybe, that's the nature of meeting someone on Valentine's Day, or that's just how God sometimes works.
She said yes!
Margaret and Josh are engaged to marry on November 21, 2020. Josh proposed on her family's property where Margaret has spent her whole life. They do not know where God is going to take them in their new life together, but they have both stated that their desire is to follow God's lead. What a fitting way to start their new life together - in the midst of God's lead.
